NH Municipal Association Honors NH State Senator Jeb Bradley
Concord, NH—New Hampshire State Senator Jeb Bradley (R) was honored today by the New Hampshire Municipal Association (NHMA) for his leadership on public pension reform legislation.
In a presentation by Steve Fournier, chairman of NHMA’s Municipal Advisory Committee, Senator Bradley received a certificate of appreciation, which reads, in part, “NHMA sincerely appreciates your advocacy on behalf of cities and towns, by sponsoring and supporting legislation designed to address the financial impact of public sector pensions on property taxpayers statewide.”
In 2011, Senator Bradley was instrumental in passing a comprehensive package of meaningful pension reform measures. This past year, his work to repeal the pension spiking penalty on cities and towns saved millions of dollars for property taxpayers throughout the state. In accepting the award, Senator Bradley said, “I am very grateful for this honor and deeply appreciate working with the New Hampshire
Municipal Association on legislation which will protect taxpayers and will also ensure the New Hampshire Retirement System is viable for current and future retirees.”
Senator Bradley has represented District 3 since 2009, following two terms as a U.S. Congressman and 12 years in the NH House of Representatives.
